SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING AT THE MONMOUTH TRANSFER STATION

Monmouth and Wales Residents With our new single stream recycling, you can keep all of your recyclables together at your home and when you take them to the transfer station it all goes in to the same trailer, making I it easier for the residents and for the employees at the station.
Our current system started August lst 2007 and we are recycling 4-5 tons per week. For every ton of material we recycle, there is a savings of $40 per ton. We should be able to increase our recycling to 6-8 tons per week giving us a savings of $240 $320 per week or a total of $15,000 for the year.
If we all work together, we can make this work. Recycling containers are available to purchase for $8 each They are great for keeping all of your recyclables together. The following is a list of items we recycle.
